Quo Vadis

This project is an exploration inside four communities: Valsavignone, Montecoronaro, Le Ville di Montecoronaro and Verghereto, whose existence has been changed both by the construction of a section of E45 highway, European infrastructural arterial road opened in 1973 and the closing of the old state road SS bis Tiberina, connecting Savio and Tevere’s valley. If on one hand what has been defined “Grande Via” has fosted connections toward greater residential areas, on the other has hastened the process of depopulation of these mountain communities where the average age increases and demographic decrease improves inexorably since 1970 till today.
